My work is my passion

I’m Adam Flanagan, a creative freelance graphic and web designer based in Leicester. My mission is to help brands and businesses connect with their audience through clean, functional and aesthetically beautiful design.

I take great pride in my work and love what I do, I’m ambitious, hard working, organised and have a keen eye for detail. I am committed to providing an outstanding level of service to my clients throughout the whole design process from ideas to deliverables. I enjoy working closely with my clients in order to build long lasting relationships and to help them get the best results and understand why their business exists.

I also embrace collaboration and have network of highly skilled creative freelancers. I won’t take on any aspect of a project unless I’m 100% certain that I can deliver. If it’s not my area of expertise then I will usually be able to offer advice or use one of my contacts who will be happy to provide their unique skill set in order to help out and deliver. My creative network consists of a handful of freelancers who specialise in, UI/UX design, copywriting, photography, conceptual design, marketing strategy and bespoke web development.

I have a passion for all things visual and my interests & experiences inspire and define my approach and style of work. I take an active interest in a wide variety of design practices from graphic design, brand identity, photography, layout, interior design and architecture. I actively keep up to date with the latest styles and trends. I also love music, cooking, snowboarding, health & fitness, cycling, travel and fashion. My background & experience

My interest and passion for design started at college, I then went on to study graphic design at the Cambridge School of Art and graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree. Shortly after graduating, I was offered a number of job opportunities in the Cambridge area and worked as a design assistant for former art director of Time Life and Good House Keeping. Together we worked on a range of exciting new projects for a high profile publisher, redesigning print publications into fully interactive apps for iPad and Tablet. We also worked on a new interactive magazine, which I co-designed as well as designing the website for the magazine.

After this I started work at a small design agency which enabled me to gain some studio experience. I worked as part of the team and was responsible for managing my own deadlines and clients.

I then started my freelance career and immediately began working on-site for a small number of clients. This experience was invaluable and got me involved on working on a wide variety of different design projects and was responsible for managing my own time as well as working with an in-house team of creatives and marketing managers. Over this time I discovered my true passion and area of expertise which strongly lies in branding and website design.

Whilst I still work on-site a number of days, the majority of my time is spent managing clients from my home studio. My clients range from small start ups, medium sized businesses, agencies and high profile multi national companies.
